Prior to moving to New York, Matt was a Senior Web Developer at Mercedes-Benz USA.  While there he supported the development efforts of the Digital Media Department working on numerous internal and external websites, microsites, and eLearning materials.  Prior to Mercedes-Benz USA, Matt worked at the South Jersey based Courier-Post Newspaper (a Gannett Company) as a Systems Analyst and at Drexel University as a Facility Manager.

In 2007, Matt’s interest in political activism and the participation in government among youths and fellow Asian Americans lead him run for a seat on Township Council in Palmyra, NJ when he was 24.  Though he lost in a close race, Matt learned a number of invaluable lessons in leadership, perseverance, and teamwork through the experience.  Matt has held the following elected positions: County Committeeman in Fort Lee, NJ, Republican Municipal Chairman in the Borough of Palmyra, NJ, and Treasurer of the Burlington County Young Republicans.  Additionally, he has served as the Event Coordinator for the Bergen County (NJ) Freeholder and County Clerk races in 2009, the Asian American Outreach Co-Coordinator during Doug Forrester’s campaign for Governor, and worked as campaign manager for two municipal elections.
