For those who don’t know, Breadcrumb is an application that Stephan, Matt, and I have been working on the past couple of months.  We built the site based on the premise that while Foursquare is cool, our check-ins had very little value after the fact.

Here’s a list of the updates that we rolled out over the weekend:

  • All comments left while you check-in on Foursquare are now automatically pulled in as breadcrumbs.  You can still edit those breadcrumbs on the site if you’d like to edit or delete them.  You can always add new ones as well.
  • There’s now a custom 404 page.
  • Everyone’s map is now embeddable!  You can now show off a visualization of your check-ins with a couple clicks, as I did with my food blog.

Honestly, pulling in your Foursquare comments really helps make Breadcrumb an excellent tool for those who want it to make it easier for people to stalk themselves.  A couple examples of good maps are: Doctor Klein and Desmond Chow.

Lastly, here are a couple things that we’re working on:

  • A user directory.
  • Customizable maps where you can specify which check-ins you want to display on a map (also embeddable).

If you have any suggestions for new features, please let us know!
